The Under-17 girls’ inter-district divisional level volleyball competition kicked off at the Sports Stadium in Doda. Participants from various districts in Jammu Division took part in the event after the successful conclusion of the Under-14 girls’ competition.
Dharminder Sharma, Joint Director of the School Education Department, and Jaffer Haider Sheikh, DYSSO Doda, were the notable guests present at the opening ceremony. They were welcomed by DYSSO Doda with a bouquet, shield, and shawl. In his address, Dharminder Sharma commended the efforts of the organizing team.
Before the matches began, all officials and players pledged to uphold fair play and sportsmanship. The first match saw district Kathua defeating district Rajouri with a score of 2/1.
The Sports Stadium in Doda is abuzz with young athletes showcasing their talent and determination in volleyball. This competition is expected to be a display of sportsmanship and skill, uniting districts from Jammu Division in healthy competition.
