In a proactive move to bolster rural development and ensure the success of Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) initiatives, Commissioner Secretary to the Government Department of Rural Development & Panchayat Raj J&K, Mrs. Mandeep Kaur, conducted a significant visit to Bhaderwah. Her visit comprised two vital components: an awareness camp and an inspection of SBM assets in the region.
The awareness camp, held at Drudhu in Bhaderwah, was designed to enlighten local residents about various government schemes and initiatives pertaining to rural development and Panchayat Raj. With an unwavering commitment to empowering rural communities, Mrs. Mandeep Kaur ensured that the residents were well-informed about the opportunities available to them.
However, the cornerstone of her visit was the inspection of Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) assets recently established by the department. SBM, a nationwide initiative, is dedicated to promoting cleanliness and sanitation in rural areas, aligning perfectly with the government’s vision for a cleaner, healthier India. Mrs. Kaur meticulously assessed the progress of SBM in Bhaderwah and engaged in constructive dialogues with local officials and residents to gain valuable insights into their experiences and challenges.
Accompanying Mrs. Mandeep Kaur on this crucial visit were DC Doda Vishesh Mahajan, ADDC Doda Pran Singh, ACD Doda Phulail Singh, ACP Doda Ashfaq Khanji, and dedicated BDOs. The presence of Sarpanches and Panches from the area underscored the importance of active community participation in achieving sustainable development goals, a core objective of the government’s rural development endeavors.
