Cleanliness Drive Organized by Eco-Club Promotes Clean and Plastic-Free Campus

Kishtwar – The Eco Club, under the guidance of Dr. Sehrish Gazal, organized a successful cleanliness drive at the college campus, aiming to promote a clean and plastic-free environment. The event witnessed the active participation of nearly 60 students and faculty members.

The drive, which took place under the supervision of Principal Dr. Jyoti Parihar, was driven by the objective of fostering awareness among the college’s students and staff regarding the critical importance of cleanliness and effective waste management.

The participants worked diligently to clean various areas within the campus, striving to create a hygienic and visually appealing environment for the entire college community. Waste collected during the drive was meticulously segregated into different categories, with compostable waste being sent to the composting pit. This approach not only ensures effective waste management but also promotes sustainable practices by converting organic waste into nutrient-rich compost for the college’s garden area.

Dr. Jyoti Parihar expressed her gratitude towards all the participants for their unwavering dedication and commitment to creating a clean and environmentally responsible campus. She emphasized the shared responsibility of maintaining cleanliness to ensure a healthy and eco-friendly environment for all.

Dr. Sehrish Gazal commended the enthusiastic participation of the students and faculty members, notably Prof. Umar Deen, Prof. Sarita Parihar, Dr. Vijay Kumar, Dr. Ajay Kumar, and Prof. Akshay Sharma. Their collective effort in raising awareness about proper waste management and their dedication to working towards a plastic-free campus were particularly lauded.
