The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an official statement outlining the schedule for winter vacations in colleges across the region. The announcement, made on Thursday, delineates a phased approach for different divisions.
According to the released information, Government Degree Colleges (GDCs) situated in the Kashmir Division and the Winter Zone of Jammu Division will commence their winter vacations from December 27, 2023, and conclude on February 14, 2024.
In a parallel but distinct arrangement, GDCs located in the Jammu Division falling under the Summer Zone will initiate their winter break from January 1, 2024, and conclude on January 10, 2024. This phased approach is designed to accommodate the varying climatic conditions and academic calendars in different parts of the region.
