Two Young Brothers Drown in Kalnai Stream

In a tragic incident, two young brothers from Chilly Pingal Tehsil in Doda district drowned in a stream on Tuesday.

As the region grapples with scorching temperatures, Nasir Hussain and Yasir Hussain, sons of Mohammad Shafi Zargar from Gondo, Chilly Pingal Tehsil, sought respite from the heat by bathing in the Kalnai stream, situated on the border of Doda and Kishtwar districts. The accident occurred around 11 AM while the brothers were returning home from Bunjwah. Tragically, both drowned, leading to their immediate deaths.

Upon receiving the distressing news, a significant number of local residents and a police team promptly arrived at the scene. The bodies of the brothers were recovered from the stream and transported to a nearby hospital.
