Udhampur, Nov 23 – At least seven people were injured on Saturday when a bus overturned at Myari Bridge in the Katra area of Jammu, officials said.
The bus, en route from Katra to Jammu, lost control and overturned, leaving passengers with varying degrees of injuries.
Emergency services transported the injured to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Katra for medical treatment. Authorities identified the injured as Darshana Devi, 45, and Jugal, both family members of Bansi Lal; Kanta Devi, 62, wife of Krishan Chand; Sudesh Kumari, 62, wife of Gyan Chand; and Rani Devi, 42, wife of the late Puran Chand, all residents of Serli, Katra. Two other injured passengers, Manisha Devi, 27, of Maghal, Katra, and Radhika, 23, of Kadmal, Katra, were also receiving treatment.
Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident to determine the cause of the crash.
