MUMBAI – Students and civil services aspirants in Maharashtra are gearing up for an eventful exam season as both state and national educational boards have unveiled their 2024-2025 exam schedules.
The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has announced that the delayed Civil Services Gazetted Preliminary Examination for 2024 will take place on December 1. The results are expected by March 2025, with the Mains exam slated for April, as per the MPSC website. The MPSC Civil Services Gazetted Preliminary Examination for 2025 will be held on September 28, with notifications anticipated in January. The dates for the Mains exam of 2025 are yet to be disclosed.
Meanwhile, school board examinations in Maharashtra will commence in February 2025. The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has confirmed that the Class 10 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams will run from February 21 to March 17, 2025, beginning with the First Language paper and concluding with the Social Sciences II – Geography paper.
For Class 12 students, the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams will be held from February 11 to March 11, 2025. The HSC exams will begin with English and end with the Sociology (A/S/C) paper. Students can access the full timetable for both the SSC and HSC exams on the official MSBSHSE website.
On the national front, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct Class 10 exams from February 15 to March 18, 2025. The first paper will be English Language, and the final exam will cover Computer Science.
CBSE Class 12 exams are scheduled from February 15 to April 4, 2025, starting with the Entrepreneurship paper and concluding with the Psychology exam. Further details regarding the CBSE exam timetable can be accessed through the official CBSE website.
The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and the Indian School Certificate (ISC) exams will also begin in mid-February. ICSE exams will run from February 18 to March 27, 2025, with the English Language paper as the first exam and the Environmental Science paper as the last. ISC exams will be held from February 13 to April 5, 2025, starting with the Environmental Science paper and concluding with Art Paper 5 (Crafts A).
