Chenab Valley, March 30: The crescent moon marking the beginning of the Islamic month of Shawwal has been sighted across the Chenab Valley, confirming that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Monday, officials and local religious authorities announced on Sunday.
The sighting was reported by multiple religious committees and residents in various parts of the region, prompting the official declaration of Eid festivities. The announcement brings an end to the month-long fasting of Ramadan, observed by Muslims worldwide.
Local mosques and community leaders confirmed the development, urging people to commence Eid preparations and adhere to traditional prayers and celebrations.
