Srinagar, March 30: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has directed all branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank to remain open on March 30 and 31, 2025, to facilitate year-end banking transactions. The move aims to ensure smooth financial operations as the fiscal year draws to a close.
The RBI’s directive allows businesses and individuals to complete necessary financial transactions before the new fiscal year begins on April 1. Banking officials have urged customers to take advantage of this extended service to avoid the last-minute rush typically observed at year-end.
In addition to physical branch operations, Jammu and Kashmir Bank’s ATMs and digital banking services will remain fully functional over the weekend, ensuring uninterrupted access to financial services.
The measure is expected to benefit businesses that need to finalize accounts and meet financial obligations before the transition into the new fiscal year. Bank authorities have reassured customers that all necessary arrangements have been made to handle the anticipated increase in transactions efficiently.
