JAMMU, April 1 – Security forces have initiated search operations in five areas of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, officials said on Tuesday. These operations are part of enhanced security measures aimed at ensuring vigilance in the border district.
Joint teams from the Special Operations Group (SoG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with units from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), are conducting the operations. The search is being carried out in both hinterland and border areas.
The locations where these operations are taking place include Behramgalla-Chatran Sailan, Kala Jhoola, and Nakka Nar forest in Gursai, as well as Mastandara Jabri and the Chajala-Seagi areas of Mankote.
Officials noted that the operations are focused on countering any potential militant activity and reinforcing security in this strategically sensitive region. Further operations may follow, depending on intelligence reports.
