DODA, April 3 – A 45-year-old man lost his life in a road accident on National Highway 244 near Thathri in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district, sources told The Chenab Times on Thursday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Kumar, son of Surat Singh, a resident of Joura Kalan in Kahara tehsil, Doda. According to his family, Kumar was traveling from Katra to his home on a two-wheeler scooty (JK06C2097) when the accident occurred.
Sources said the incident took place near Army Road Jangalwar area of Thathri on National Highway 244. The exact cause of the accident remains unclear, and authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the mishap.
Emergency responders reached the site and transported Kumar to CHC Thathri, where he was declared dead on arrival. Officials have urged commuters to exercise caution while traveling on hilly roads, especially in light of recent accidents in the region.
