11 JKAS Officers Promoted to Selection Grade; Three Appointed Additional Secretaries

Srinagar, 5 Aug — The Jammu and Kashmir Government has issued a formal order promoting eleven officers of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) to the Selection Grade (Level 12: Rs 78,800–Rs 2,09,200). The decision, based on Council of Ministers Decision No. 070/14/2025 dated July 29, was made official through Government Order No. 1044–JK(GAD) of 2025, issued by the General Administration Department on August 5.

The officers promoted under this order include Parvaiz Rahim, Zakir Hussain, Mudasir Ahmad, Mohsin Raza, Deebah Khalid Peer, Aijaz Ahmad Shah, Mohd. Idrees, Bashir Ahmad Lone, Gulzar Ahmad Rather, Athar Amin Zargar, and Sanna Khan. Of these, Zakir Hussain, Mohsin Raza, and Aijaz Ahmad Shah have been designated as Additional Secretaries to the Government in their respective departments. The remaining officers will continue to serve at their current places of posting until further instructions are issued.

According to the order, the promotions will take effect prospectively from the date of issuance and will remain subject to the outcome of any writ petitions that may be pending before competent courts.

The order was signed by M. Raju, IAS, Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, and has been circulated to all relevant administrative departments, senior officials, and institutional heads for necessary compliance and record.
