Assam Rifles Holds Medical, Veterinary Camp in Doda’s Gundna

Doda, Aug 8 — Assam Rifles, under Op Sadbhavana, organized a combined medical and veterinary camp in the remote Gundna tehsil of Doda district, aimed at supporting the Gujjar and Bakkarwal communities.

Assam Rifles Medical Officers, along with veterinary professionals from government hospitals, offered free general health screening, pediatric care, and medicines, with special focus on mothers and children.

Parallel veterinary services catered to livestock, including cows, sheep, horses, mules, goats, and buffaloes. In total, 450 locals and 195 animals were examined and treated.

Locals expressed gratitude, noting the event’s role in strengthening ties between the security forces and the Chenabi population in isolated mountain areas.
