Jammu, Sept. 6 – A suspected Pakistani drone was spotted hovering over vital military installations in Samba district, Jammu and Kashmir, prompting a joint search operation by security forces on Friday night, according to details received by The Chenab Times. The incident occurred around 9:35 pm in the Bari Brahmana area, as reported by news agencies.
Officials stated that the drone was observed at an altitude of over 700 meters, moving from west to east above a military garrison. An immediate alert was sounded, and Army quick reaction teams were activated. Local police were also informed, and a joint operation was launched to ensure no weapons or narcotics were airdropped by the drone.
The search operation aims to secure the area and investigate the drone’s purpose, amid heightened vigilance along the India-Pakistan border. No further details on the operation’s outcome were available at the time of reporting.
