Acclaimed Bollywood playback singer Sonu Nigam is set to perform a landmark concert at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) in Srinagar on October 26, marking the first major Bollywood event in the Kashmir Valley since the Pahalgam attack in April, according to details received by The Chenab Times.
Organized by NDTV Good Times, the concert will feature Nigam’s iconic Bollywood hits and a tribute to legendary singer Mohammed Rafi, commemorating his centenary. “Celebrating his legacy at Dal Lake in Kashmir, celebrating the zest of Kashmir, is going to be really wonderful and special,” Nigam said, expressing his admiration for Rafi.
The SKICC, located on the scenic banks of Dal Lake, provides a stunning backdrop for the performance. Tourism stakeholders see the event as a boost for cultural tourism. Rahi Khan, a line producer at Real Kashmir Productions, stated, “The event will send a positive message globally, create employment opportunities, and boost the local tourism industry.”
Tickets start at ₹799, with organizers urging attendees to book early due to high demand for this historic cultural celebration in Kashmir.
