Assam Rifles Organises Medical and Veterinary Camp in Khankot Village, Doda

Doda, November 23 — Assam Rifles, under the aegis of 9 Sector Rashtriya Rifles and as part of Operation Sadbhavana, conducted a combined medical and veterinary camp at Khankot village in Doda district on Sunday.

According to details received by The Chenab Times, the camp was organised to provide essential healthcare services to residents of the remote village who have limited access to medical facilities.

A team of qualified doctors and veterinary officers offered free consultations, treatment and medicines. A total of 264 local residents, including women, children and elderly persons, received medical care. Additionally, 87 livestock were examined and treated during the veterinary segment.

Information was available with The Chenab Times that the initiative received an enthusiastic response from villagers and the local civil administration. Residents expressed appreciation for the efforts of Assam Rifles and the Indian Army in reaching out to far-flung areas of Doda district.

Such activities under Operation Sadbhavana aim to promote health awareness, strengthen civil-military relations and contribute to the overall well-being of communities in Jammu and Kashmir.
