Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal has confirmed his engagement to longtime girlfriend and fashion designer Gabriella Demetriades after six years together. The revelation came during a teaser for Rhea Chakraborty’s Chapter 2 podcast episode, set for release today.
According to details received by The Chenab Times, Rampal and Demetriades appeared on the podcast where Demetriades noted they are not married yet but hinted at future possibilities. Rampal interjected, stating, “We are engaged! We just broke it on your show.” BollywoodShaadis reported the clip shared by Chakraborty on Instagram on December 13.
The couple met through common friends in 2019 and welcomed sons Arik in 2019 and Ariv in 2023. Rampal, previously married to Mehr Jesia with whom he has daughters Mahikaa and Myra, emphasized family acceptance in past interviews. He told Hindustan Times that his daughters embraced Demetriades without question.
In a 2024 podcast with Ranveer Allahbadia, Rampal described marriage as a mere “piece of paper” but affirmed their commitment mentally. He noted the positive bond between Demetriades and his ex-wife Jesia.
Times of India reported Rampal’s quip in the teaser about pursuing Demetriades initially for her looks before discovering deeper qualities. The engagement news coincides with buzz around his role as Major Iqbal in the spy thriller Dhurandhar.
