Gujarat: PM Modi Links Congress to ‘Political Vultures’ Amid West Asia Conflict Concerns

Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted on Tuesday that India has effectively managed the geopolitical and economic repercussions of the West Asia conflict, attributing the nation’s resilience to its strong foreign policy and the unity of its people. Addressing a public gathering in Vav Tharad district of Gujarat, Modi contrasted India’s stable position with global challenges like war, unrest, and rising fuel prices.

‘Political Vultures’ Accusation

Information was available with The Chenab Times that Prime Minister Modi directly accused the Congress party of attempting to sow panic and exploit the prevailing situation for political gain. He likened the opposition party to “political vultures” that eagerly await escalating crises to “reap political dividends,” stating that the Congress was actively trying to incite public fear instead of fostering national unity.

The Prime Minister elaborated that while fuel prices have seen a global surge of up to 10 percent due to the West Asia conflict, the Indian government is working to mitigate the impact on its citizens. He suggested that the Congress’s strategy involves creating an atmosphere of anxiety, hoping to force people into long queues at petrol pumps and gas agencies, thereby creating disorder.

“At a time when the world is grappling with war, unrest and rising fuel prices, India has managed the situation effectively due to strong foreign policy and the unity of its people,” Modi stated during his address at Nani village. He reiterated that certain political parties, primarily the Congress, are actively seeking to leverage the current circumstances by spreading alarm and fear.

India’s Resilience and Future Outlook

Prime Minister Modi emphasized India’s capability to navigate any crisis, asserting that the country is positioned to emerge as a global leader in the renewable energy sector. He acknowledged that the developments in West Asia have had a worldwide impact but maintained that India has handled the situation competently. He further alleged that the opposition’s aim is to foster anarchy, contrasting it with the government’s efforts to ensure stability and public order.

The Prime Minister’s remarks came during an event in Gujarat, a state where he often engages with the public to discuss national policies and political strategies. The West Asia conflict has been a significant point of discussion globally, with its impact on energy markets and international relations being closely watched. India, as a major energy consumer, has been particularly attentive to these developments.

Modi’s statements highlight the administration’s narrative of proactive governance and national strength in the face of international turbulence. The critique of the Congress party underscores the ongoing political discourse and the government’s efforts to maintain a unified public image amidst external pressures.
