In a tragic turn of events in Pune, a woman has been booked for the murder of her six-year-old son following an incident where she jumped into a well with both her children, an act that also involved an attempt to kill her daughter. The incident, which took place in Manchar, has sent shockwaves through the community.
Details of the Incident Emerge
According to preliminary police reports, the 35-year-old woman was reportedly facing severe domestic issues and was living separately from her husband. It is believed that extreme distress stemming from these personal problems may have led to the horrific events of Friday morning. Residents of Manchar witnessed the woman jumping into a well with her young son. Local residents immediately responded, diving into the water to rescue both the woman and the child. While the woman was pulled out and received medical attention, the six-year-old boy tragically drowned. The 14-year-old daughter, who was found unconscious at the family’s residence, is currently undergoing medical treatment.
Attempted Murder of Daughter
Further investigation by the Manchar police revealed that prior to the incident at the well, the woman had allegedly attempted to kill her daughter. The daughter was found to have been strangled and physically assaulted within their home. The woman reportedly believed her daughter was dead before proceeding to the well with her son.
