Furthermore, Mehdi has publicly questioned Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah regarding alleged cross-voting in the recent Rajya Sabha elections. Mehdi has emphasized the importance of transparency and public accountability, stating that the public has a right to know the identities of legislators who may have betrayed their mandate. He indicated that if wrongdoing occurred, citizens have a right to know who is innocent and who betrayed them.
