Classrooms at Government High School Joura Khurd have reportedly been littered with sheep and goat dung, turning parts of the school into cattle sheds and raising concern among locals and parents in the region.
According to details received by The Chenab Times, the issue was highlighted earlier when a delegation of the Aam Aadmi Party met the Chief Education Officer Doda on March 28, 2026. Raja Shakeel pointed out the condition of the school during the meeting and also submitted an application via WhatsApp.
The complaint mentioned that the school has only four teachers for ten classes. One of the teachers is serving as a Booth Level Officer, adding to the workload on the staff. No action has been taken on the matter so far, as per the available information.
Locals have questioned the suitability of the environment for students. Reports indicate demands for urgent cleaning and restoration of the school premises, along with adequate staffing and regular monitoring.
The Chenab Times has learned that parents and residents in the area are seeking immediate intervention from the district administration to address the situation at the government school in Joura Khurd.
No official confirmation or update on remedial measures from the education department was available at the time of reporting.
