SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry (JAK LI) Regimental Centre in Srinagar buzzed with patriotic fervor on Saturday, May 30, 2026, as it hosted the Attestation-cum-Passing Out Parade for the 7th batch of Agniveers. A total of 538 recruits successfully completed their rigorous 24-week training regimen, marking a significant milestone in their military careers.

The parade, a hallmark of military tradition and discipline, saw the newly trained Agniveers march with precision. The event was reviewed by Lieutenant General P.K. Mishra, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the White Knight Corps. He addressed the graduating Agniveers and their families, congratulating them on their achievement and emphasizing the proud legacy of the JAK LI Regiment.

General Mishra highlighted the Indian Army’s commitment to service, honor, and duty, reminding the recruits of the bravery and patriotism etched in the force’s history. He underscored the Army’s role not just as a border guardian but as a symbol of trust and hope for the nation, involved in safeguarding the country during wars, counter-insurgency operations, and natural disasters.

The GOC expressed confidence that the courage and determination displayed by these Agniveers would inspire future generations. He urged them to uphold the glorious traditions of the Indian Army and continue its rich legacy. The passing out parade signifies the successful culmination of intensive training designed to prepare these young individuals for service in various units across the Indian Army.
