NHM, Health Department Repost Officials to Original Postings in Doda’s Thathri; Earlier Transfer Orders Rescinded

DODA, July 10: The National Health Mission (NHM), Jammu and Kashmir, and the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), Jammu, have issued separate orders rescinding earlier transfer and deputation orders and directing several healthcare officials to report back to their original places of posting in Doda district with immediate effect.

The latest orders come after Doda MLA Mehraj Malik reportedly intervened in the matter and sought the return of health staff to their parent institutions in the district, as per details available with The Chenab Times.

According to Order No. 74-SHS of 2026, dated July 10, 2026, issued by the Mission Director, NHM, Jammu and Kashmir, multiple transfer orders issued between 2022 and 2026 have been rescinded in the interest of administration.

The order directs six NHM officials to return to their original postings in Doda district. These include Dr. Nazish Soharwardi, Medical Officer (RBSK), to CHC Thathri; Dr. Asma Banoo, MLHP, to AAM Sub Centre Seel, Ghat Block; Dr. Farzana Bano, Medical Officer (ISM), to PHC Malanoo, Thathri Block; Dr. Kanchan Devi, MLHP, to AAM Chilly Balla, Gandoh Block; Ms. Indu Bala, FMPHW (RBSK), to CHC Thathri; and Ms. Mehrun Nisa, X-Ray Technician, to CHC Thathri.

The NHM order states that the officials concerned shall report to their original places of posting immediately. It also directs the respective Chief Medical Officers and Controlling Officers to ensure its immediate implementation. The order further states that the salaries of the officials shall be drawn from their original places of posting.

Earlier, the Directorate of Health Services, Jammu, through an order dated July 7, 2026, also detached nine officials from their present assignments and directed them to report to their original places of posting with immediate effect in the interest of administration and patient care.

The officials covered under the DHS order are Balvinder Singh (Health Educator), Amit Parihar (Sanitary Inspector), Javed Iqbal Kichloo (Super Pharmacist), Anil Singh (Junior Assistant), Mohd Amin (Senior Lab Technician/BBT), Iqhlaq Ahmed (MTS), Jiven Parkash (Ward Boy/MTS), Rajnish Kotwal (Junior Lab Technician), and Arun Kumar (Junior Pharmacist).

Most of these officials have been directed to report back to CHC Thathri, while others have been reposted to AH Thathri, PHC Premnagar, and Sub Centre Joura, as per their original places of posting.
