Jammu and Kashmir: UGC-NET June 2026 Answer Key Issued; Objections Accepted Till August 18

SRINAGAR: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released provisional answer keys for 84 subjects of the University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test (UGC-NET) June 2026 examination, enabling candidates to submit challenges against the provided answers.

Information was available with The Chenab Times that candidates have a window to submit their objections online starting from August 16 and concluding on August 18, with the deadline set for 11:59 PM. A non-refundable processing fee of Rs 200 per challenged question is required, which must also be paid by the stipulated deadline on August 18.

The NTA has specified that all challenges must be submitted exclusively through the official UGC-NET portal, ugcnet.nta.nic.in. Submissions must be accompanied by supporting documentary evidence. The agency has stated that challenges submitted through any other means will not be considered.

The provisional answer keys for three specific subjects—English, Commerce, and Sociology—have not been released at this time. This is due to ongoing examinations of complaints received concerning alleged errors in their respective question papers. A committee has been formed to review these complaints and formulate recommendations.

The NTA indicated that a separate public notice addressing the issues related to these three subjects would be issued on Saturday. Candidates are strongly advised to meticulously review the provisional answer key and any supporting documents before proceeding with the submission of their objections. The agency also urged candidates to rely solely on information published on its official website and verified social media channels for accurate updates.

The facility for viewing the provisional answer key and submitting challenges is also available for candidates who appeared in the Joint Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC NET) June 2026 examination. These candidates have been advised to consult the relevant official notice and submit any objections within the prescribed timeframe.
