Jammu and Kashmir: Six Injured, Four Critically, in Rajouri Road Accident

Six individuals sustained injuries, with four in critical condition, after a vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a ditch in the Kandi Mohra area of Rajouri district on Sunday. The incident occurred in the Kotranka tehsil, prompting immediate medical attention and a police investigation.

According to details received by The Chenab Times, the accident took place when the vehicle skidded off the road, leading to its fall into a ditch. Six people were injured in the mishap.

An official statement indicated that the injured were initially given first aid at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Kandi. Subsequently, the four individuals with severe injuries were transferred to the Government Medical College (GMC) in Rajouri for specialized treatment.

The injured have been identified as Mohd Azam, 60, son of Mir Baz; Ibrar Ahmed, 35, son of Mohd Azam; Imtiaz Ahmed, 18, son of Mohd Azam; Shamim Akhter, 22, wife of Ibrar Ahmed; Mohd Shakeel, 22, son of Munshi Khan; and Khadam Hussain. All are residents of Rehan village in Kotranka tehsil of Rajouri district.

The local police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine the cause.
