The local police have been informed about the incident and have registered a case. Authorities have initiated proceedings to investigate the circumstances surrounding the drowning and to ensure all necessary protocols are followed in such unfortunate events. An inquiry is expected to shed further light on the sequence of events that led to the fatality.

The Nallah Sandran, like many water bodies in the region, can experience rapid water level increases and strong currents, particularly following periods of rainfall or snowmelt. Local authorities often issue advisories regarding the safety of approaching such water bodies, especially for children. This incident serves as a somber reminder of the potential dangers associated with natural waterways.

The community in Qazigund and the surrounding areas has been deeply affected by the tragedy. Efforts are underway to provide support to the grieving family of Zahoor Ahmad Ganie. The focus remains on the recovery of the young survivor and the subsequent investigation into the incident by law enforcement agencies.
