Srinagar, August 20: The Director General of Police for Jammu and Kashmir, Nalin Prabhat, conducted a comprehensive review of security arrangements and operational deployments for the upcoming Kousarnag Yatra on Thursday. The meeting aimed to ensure the pilgrimage proceeds smoothly and with robust security measures in place.

Discussions focused on the strategic positioning of personnel, logistical support, and emergency response protocols designed to safeguard pilgrims throughout their journey.
The Kousarnag Yatra, a significant annual pilgrimage, attracts devotees from across the region and beyond. Ensuring the safety and security of participants is paramount for the Jammu and Kashmir Police and associated security agencies. Attendees included representatives from the J&K Police’s concerned formations, alongside officials from the 2 Sector Rashtriya Rifles (RR), 14 Sector RR, and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
