Srinagar, August 27: Jammu and Kashmir’s leadership extended warm felicitations on the occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad. The greetings emphasized prayers for peace, harmony, and brotherhood across the Union Territory.
Information was available with The Chenab Times that the Chief Minister and the Lieutenant Governor conveyed their wishes, highlighting the teachings of Prophet Muhammad as a beacon of compassion and unity.
The office of the Chief Minister released a statement extending greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the sacred occasion. The message underscored the Prophet’s timeless message of peace, compassion, and brotherhood, with prayers for lasting peace, prosperity, and communal harmony within the Union Territory.
Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha also extended his greetings via a social media post, wishing everyone on the auspicious occasion of Milad-un-Nabi. He remarked that the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad serve as an eternal guiding light for all humanity, promoting peace, equality, and compassion.
The Lieutenant Governor further urged citizens to embrace the values of love, kindness, and universal brotherhood espoused by the Prophet. He called for collective efforts to foster a more harmonious, inclusive, and united society, concluding his message with “Eid Mubarak!”
Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, also known as Mawlid, is observed by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad. The occasion is marked by prayers, religious gatherings, and reflections on the Prophet’s life and teachings, which revolve around principles of mercy, justice, and guidance.
