Panic has spread through the Chohla Sahib area of Tarn Taran district in Punjab following the discovery of two young men found dead under unexplained circumstances on Wednesday.
The Chenab Times has learned that the deceased have been identified as 30-year-old Parminder Singh, a resident of Pakhopur village, and 27-year-old Billa, who hailed from Khara village. Both villages are situated in close proximity, located less than four kilometers apart.
According to preliminary information from the police, investigators suspect that the two men may have been killed at a location other than where their bodies were found, with indications that their remains were subsequently transported and abandoned near Chohla Sahib. The precise sequence of events leading to their deaths and the exact time of their demise are still under investigation.
Senior police officials were promptly informed of the incident and arrived at the scene to oversee the initial stages of the investigation. Law enforcement personnel took possession of the bodies and have initiated the necessary legal procedures, including forwarding the deceased for post-mortem examinations to ascertain the cause of death.
Authorities are diligently working to reconstruct the events by reviewing surveillance footage obtained from closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras installed across various locations in the vicinity, including private residences and public spaces. This footage is expected to be crucial in establishing a timeline of activities and potentially identifying individuals involved in the incident.
The police have launched a comprehensive investigation into the matter, seeking to uncover all facts surrounding the deaths. Further details are anticipated as the forensic and investigative processes continue.
