The body of a 30-year-old youth from Ramban was recovered from a water canal in Qazigund area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Tuesday morning.
An official told KNO that the youth identified as Hashimdin Chichey (30) son of Shishu Chichey, a resident of Ramban was found dead by some locals and they accordingly informed the police.
He said that a police team reached the spot and recovered the body. “The deceased was working at a Dhaba in Damjan locality of Qazigund.”
The official said that the body was taken to hospital and proceedings under section 174 CrPc have been initiated in this regard.
