Thathri, May 15: To strengthen the brotherhood, unity and to create an example, today Station House Officer Police Station Thathri in District Doda distributed some holy books of Quran among the locals of Thathri. In the event, 10-15 locals were present including Imam Jamia Masjid Thathri Mohd Shafqat Qasmi, Chairman MC Thathri Mansoor Ahmed, Vice Chairman MC Thathri Asgar Khanday, Sarpanch Phagsoo Farooq Ahmed Sheikh and others senior citizens of Thathri town.
Speaking to correspondent, SHO Inderjeet Singh said, "This is a mission to purify the souls. Our souls are being full of dirt—hate by some politicians but we will purify our souls by reciting and understanding our holy books. And follow the instructions of the holy book like Quran."
"Rooh e Iftari is the concept to purify souls. As we have listened that the word iftari is used for eating food while breaking fast. But the actual meaning of Ramzan is not only stop yourself from eating. It is purifying the souls. By reading and understanding Quran, our souls can be purified and it can be called as Rooh e Iftari", he added.
