Two youth were found unconscious in their rented room in the Doda district’s Kahara area. After which, one of them was declared dead at CHC Thathri on Thursday.
According to preliminary reports received by The Chenab Times, both were unconscious reportedly after burning coal for casual heat and, due to the poisonous gas in coal, both became unconscious.
Meanwhile, the matter is under investigation and a post-mortem is yet to be done. The final reason will be revealed after the investigation.
The deceased has been identified as 18-year-old Shahnawaz Hussain, and the stable youth as 22-year-old Adil Hussain Sheikh S/o Mohd Rafiq Sheikh, both of whom live in the Dharam area of Tehsil Gool in District Ramban. Both were working as Chefs in a hotel at Kahara, Doda.
The matter is under investigation by JK Police.
