Delegation of youth from Doda’s Kahara met DC Doda, raised various local issues

On Monday, Deputy Commissioner Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan held a meeting with a delegation of youth from the Kahara area of Doda district. The delegation was led by social activist Asif Iqbal Butt and included a group of energetic and enthusiastic young people.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss a range of important issues facing the community, including the non-functioning of the dental chair at the PHC Malanoo, the advance supply/dumping of ration to the remotest areas of the Kahara tehsil, and the resolution of the issue of deleted ration cards.

The Deputy Commissioner listened attentively as the youth raised their concerns and presented their ideas for addressing these issues. He acknowledged the importance of these issues and assured the delegation that he would take necessary steps to address them.

One of the key issues discussed at the meeting was the non-functioning of the dental chair at the PHC Malanoo. The road is currently incomplete and has caused difficulties for tourists and locals trying to access the unexplored destination. It was agreed that the early start of work on the road is necessary to improve accessibility and boost tourism in the region.

Finally, the delegation raised the issue of deleted ration cards and the impact this was having on the community. The Deputy Commissioner assured the delegation that he would take necessary steps to resolve this issue and ensure that all members of the community had access to essential supplies.

After careful consideration, Mr. Mahajan agreed to support the festival and promised to work with Mr. Butt and other relevant authorities to ensure its success. He also suggested that the festival could be held in conjunction with other winter events in the region, in order to attract a larger crowd and maximize its impact.

During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner listened patiently to the deputation and took steps to address the issues raised by the social activists. Specifically, he directed the BMO Thathri to ensure the functioning of a dental chair within two days and directed the AD CAPD to hold an open public camp to add deleted ration cards. The Deputy Commissioner also directed the SDM to prepare for snow festivals at Jantroon Top.
