As a part of “Good Governance Week 2022” being celebrated with the theme “Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur,” a mega-awareness, service delivery, and grievance redressal programme was held by the district administration at the Gandoh sub-divisional headquarters today.
The line departments, including horticulture, agriculture, KVIB, revenue, RDD, social welfare, banks, employment, health, education, FCS&CA transport, and others, held awareness programmes and installed their stalls at the venue. The line departments also provided on-the-spot services to the public in the area. The district heads of the department remained present during the grievance redressal programme held at the venue.
The programme was chaired by District Development Commissioner Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan, who inaugurated the programme and presented before the audience the developmental scenario of the district and the vision of the district administration. DDC inspected the stalls established at the venue by different departments for on-spot service delivery and awareness. DDC, en route to Gandoh, inspected the digitisation of massives at the SDM office in Thathri, too.
SDM Gandoh Arun Kumar Badyal gave valuable information on the objectives and feedback of the recently launched pan-district initiative “Aap Ke Gaon Mein Aap Ka Tehsildar.” While Chief Education Officer Doda Prahalad Bhagat spoke on the district-level initiative of a “Prabhari Officer for High School and Middle Schools,” The topic of “Women Empowerment as Sustainable Livelihood” was taken up in detail by Salman Batt, District Programme Manager, NRLM. A special awareness camp for unemployed youth was organised by the District Employment and Counseling Center Doda to inform them about the government’s self-employment generation schemes.
Other officers also apprised the people of their respective schemes and services offered.
Pertinently, “Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur Abhiyan” has been launched with the aim to take administration to the doorsteps of the citizens, right up to the villages, and to ensure an effective, efficient, and transparent governance system.
While interacting with the gathering, DDC said that the district administration is committed to making the process of governance inclusive, participatory, transparent, efficient, responsive, and effective in order to ensure good governance. He praised the efforts of the SDM Gandoh in making several road projects viable by removing bottlenecks that had been holding up construction for several years. DDC advised farmers to use high density and high yield variety crops along with technical advice from experts from the agriculture department for better income. He said that online services and Jan Bhagidari apps have really empowered the public with basic knowledge and the how-to of the schemes. He discussed in public “Vision 2047,” projecting the rapid inclusive growth in all the sectors to make Doda an excellent example in terms of progress and prosperity, and India “Viswa Guru,” through systematic planning and constant efforts with the full cooperation of the public. He urged the public to cooperate with the administration in the door-to-door collection of garbage to achieve the objective of Swach Gaon Sunder Gaon in toto.
DDC was accompanied by BDC Chairpersons, DDC Councillors, CPO Doda, SDM Gandoh, SDM Thathri, ACD Doda, Dy Director of Employment Doda, CEO Doda, CAO Doda, DSWO Doda, and other district and sectoral officers.
