The village of Phagsoo in the Doda district is mourning the loss of one of its own, Altaf Hussain Shah, 50, who passed away on Sunday after attending the funeral of Naseer Ahmed Lone in the neighbouring village of Nowtass in Thathri, Doda of Jammu and Kashmir.
Locals told The Chenab Times that Shah collapsed after suffering a heart attack while returning home from the funeral.
Shah was a well-known figure in the village, and his sudden passing has left the community in shock. Many residents have expressed their condolences and shared memories of Shah’s kindness and generosity. He was known for his community service and had been actively involved in various local initiatives.
The funeral arrangements for Shah are currently being finalised, and it is expected to be attended by a number of people from Phagsoo and neighbouring villages on Monday morning.
