Doda: In a devastating incident that occurred around 9pm, a tragic accident claimed the lives of three individuals and left five others injured in the Saroha Hambal area of Doda district, Jammu and Kashmir. As per The Chenab Times sources, the accident involved a vehicle bearing registration number JK06A 8682, which was en route from Khellani to Saroha.
The vehicle, according to eyewitnesses, veered off the road and tumbled approximately 200 to 300 feet down an embankment, resulting in a harrowing outcome. The victims have been identified as follows:
Injured
- Sanjay Kumar, aged 40, son of Jamit Ram, a resident of Saroha Tehsil and District Doda.
- Manjeet Singh, aged 22, son of Pram Lal, a resident of Saroha.
- Kushal Kumar, aged 31, son of Kung Lal, a resident of Saroha.
- Mintu Kumar, aged 22, son of Balak Ram, a resident of Saroha.
- Sunahir Lal, aged 21, son of Chuni Lal, a resident of Saroha.
These injured individuals have been promptly shifted to GMC Doda for medical treatment.
Deceased
Tragically, three individuals lost their lives at the accident site:
- Minay Kumar, aged 31, son of Daya Ram, a resident of Saroha Hambal.
- Lal Chand, aged 45, son of Jamit Ram, a resident of Saroha Hambal.
- Karan Jeet Singh, aged 40, son of Shib Charan.
In response to this heart-wrenching incident, Mr. Vishesh Paul Mahajan, the Deputy Commissioner of Doda while speaking to The Chenab Times announced that the next of kin of the deceased will receive Rs 50,000 as relief under the Red Cross. Additionally, he assured that all necessary steps will be taken to address the aftermath of this tragic accident.
