The Drabshalla Rattle Hydroelectric Power Project (RHEP) in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir, has been rocked by tragedy after a fatal accident involving a hydra machine claimed the life of a young operator, Sanjay Kumar Saini, from Bihar.
Local sources, speaking to The Chenab Times, confirmed that the incident occurred earlier today. Details surrounding the cause of the accident remain unclear, but Saini is reported to have died on the spot. His body has been shifted to Thathri Hospital for further medical procedures.
In the wake of this tragedy, the RHEP site management has made the difficult decision to close down the night shift operation for today, January 8th, 2024. This move, driven by the need to prioritize safety and allow time for grieving, ensures that only essential services will continue throughout the night.
