Mohd Majid Malik, an advocate, activist

Mohd Majid Malik (born 1 March 1983) is a lawyer and famous social activist from Bhaderwah of Doda in Jammu and Kashmir. He has frequently engaged in appearing on television panels and writing as a columnist for some newspapers. His chamber is in ‘Mohalla Khakhal, Bhaderwah 18222’.

Education

Malik completed his schooling from Government Higher Secondary School Boys Bhaderwah and did degree in Economics from Jammu University. Later, he also pursued Post Graduation in Journalism and Mass Communication and after short stint as a Journalist, he studied law.

Awards

Malik received many awards and about 120 Service Certificate as NSS volunteer for social work, while he also remained president of Government Degree College Bhaderwah and student leader in Jammu University and organised many awareness camps .

Movements

Malik actively also lead the movement for opening up of University in Bhaderwah, opening of PG courses in Bhaderwah college and opening of Bhaderwah Chamba Bani Basoli road along with the movement for District status to Bhaderwah.

Career as Advocate

Malik is lawyer at the District Court Bhaderwah (Doda) in Chenab Valley and the focus of his work is on criminal and civil law and providing free legal aid to needy people.

Career as Journalist

Malik also worked as columnist with some leading newspapers and is currently writing for some Urdu and English newspapers.
