Students’ Message to JKBOSE Officials

As we all know that Jammu and Kashmir government has reduced the syllabus by 30% for classes 10th and 12th in the upcoming annual regular 2020 examinations being conducted by Board of School Education (BOSE). Announcement made by Dr Asgar Samoon on his tweet.

‌This decision has been taken in view of the COVID-19 lockdown and continuous closure of all educational institutions from the 12th of March in view of COVID-19 pandemic.

‌After this announcement, many students are not satisfy with this decision. Also JKBOSE earlier informed students of class 10th, 11th & 12th to fill their exams form as soon as possible. Last day of submission of form is 07-09-2020.

‌In an interview, Chairperson JKBOSE, Veena Pandita said that only the examination notification has been issued.

“It will be discussed later as to whether the exam will be conducted or not and that will be decided as per situation.”

She said that the notification for submission of forms was issued to prepare a database of students of classes 10th to 12th.

Now come to the students’ online classes.

Some facts about online classes in J&K:

  1. As u all know that we have low internet connectivity (so called 2G), so due to this we are facing problems, we are not able to get clear video/audio of teachers.
  2. Online classes are beneficial only for theoretical subjects.

Some questions arises:

  • What about Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics?
  • ‌Now a question arises?
  • ‌Why students are so much worried about annual exams?

Here is the answer!

‌In J&K schools are closed since March 12. Before March 12, there were winter vacations and schools were closed. On 1st March, school were open and after 12 days schools were closed due to COVID-19.

‌In these 12 days, what students have learned?

They didn’t complete their 10% syllabus in these 12 days . So now JKBOSE offered us 30% reduction in syllabus . It is impossible for students to cover 70% syllabus in not more than 2 months. CBSE also decided to reduce 30% syllabus but the students have almost 7 months to prepare for this.

‌Demand of Students:

  1. ‌Mass Promotion
  2. ‌50% reduction in syllabus.
  3. Postpone exams to March Session with 30% reduction in syllabus.

At least one of these three must be accepted.

  1. I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own weblog and was curious what all is needed to get set up?
I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a
pretty penny? I’m not very web savvy so I’m not
100% certain. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly
    appreciated. Appreciate it

  2. Its such as you learn my thoughts! You appear to know a lot approximately this, such as you wrote the ebook in it or something.
I think that you can do with a few % to
pressure the message home a little bit, but instead of that, this is excellent blog.
An excellent read. I will certainly be back.
