The rural Development Department is working with the Panchayat representatives to divert the public exchequer and the authorities, despite being aware of this, are reluctant to investigate the matter for unknown reasons.
Well-known social activist Farid Ahmed Naik expressed these views in a statement issued on behalf of the press. Naik revealed that funds have been raised several times for the construction of a park near the crematorium in Pirpura area of Panchayat Roti Padrana, but not a single penny has been spent on the ground level.
Providing information, Naik said that he had received dozens of complaints in this regard and to find out the truth of the matter, he and his team visited the said place and inspected the situation there on the ground. Complaints found correct.
He further said that more than Rs 1.5 lakh has been released from the exchequer in the name of constructing a park at the said place but it is not clear where the money was used.
During the visit, members of DRYWA, former Sarpanch of Panchayat Roti Padrana and a good number of people of the said Panchayat were also present.
Naik appealed to the authorities to investigate the matter as soon as possible and get to the bottom of the matter
