DSEJ organises Multilingual Poetry Festival on the eve of Diwali

On the eve of Diwali, a multilingual Poetry festival (Diwali Mushiara) was organised by the Directorate of School Education (DSEJ). Director School Education Jammu, Anuradha Gupta was the chief Guest on the occasion.

Stressing on the promotion of local regional languages Director said that DSEJ has a focus to promote them as mentioned in the National Policy on Education. She said that Jammu region has a distinct cultural heritage which need to be exhibited among the students. The programme was presented by 11 key participant students prepared by the mentor teachers of the region. Students presented their poetry in different regional languages particularly Dogri, Urdu, Gojri, Pahari.

The programme was also addressed by Mamta Sharma, Dy Director, DSEJ.

The welcome address was presented by Surjit Singh Badhsali Head, Cultural and Education Cell. The proceedings was carried out by Alka Sharma whereas vote of thanks was presented by Sadaket Ali Malik Cultural and Education Cell.
