The Jammu and Kashmir police said on Wednesday that an army vehicle mowed down an elderly woman to death in the Nadihal area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district, and that they had registered a case and seized the vehicle.
Police said in a statement to the Kashmir-based news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that an accident occurred today at Nadihal, in which an elderly woman was hit by an Army vehicle and died on the spot.
According to the statement, the woman’s body was shifted to a hospital for medical and legal formalities to be completed.
