With immediate effect, DC Doda suspended three RDD officials on charges of fraudulent payment of uncompleted work, taking seriously the misuse of official positions and the district’s commitment to zero tolerance for corruption.
According to the order issued by the DC Doda, a complaint regarding fraudulent payments on account of un-executed works in Panchayat Moothi-A of Block Marmat was received and referred to Assistant Commissioner Development Dada for investigation on April 30, 2021, with instructions to submit a report within 15 days.
Block Development Officer Marmat’s vide no BD0/M compV2021-22/520, has received a report on the complaint. Dated: July 20, 2021; It is primafacie established, based on the contents of the report received from BDO Marmat, that misappropriation of funds and gross irregularities have occurred in panchayat Moothi-A.
Within 15 days, the Addl. District Dev. Commissioner Doda and Asstt- Commissioner Panchayat Doda will conduct a detailed investigation and make recommendations, citing the roles of the Sarpanch, Secretary Panchayat, Junior Engineer, GRS, and others.
In the meantime, one JE, one MPW, and one GRS of the said Panchayat have been placed on leave until further orders are issued.
The suspended officials will be assigned to the office of the District Panchayat Officer Doda, according to the order.
The DC has issued a warning to all erring officers and officials serving in the district that any deviation in public services will not be tolerated and will be dealt with harshly so that the government’s efforts for public amenity reach the intended recipients.
