On a four-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, India’s President Ram Nath Kovind arrived at Shiekh-ul-Alam International Airport this afternoon.
According to the news agency GNS, the visiting dignitary was greeted by a high-profile delegation led by incumbent Lieutenant Governor Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha.
“On the 22nd Anniversary of the Kargil Vijay Diwas, the President will pay homage to the indomitable courage and sacrifice of the Indian Armed Forces during the Kargil Conflict in 1999 at the Kargil War Memorial Dras (Ladakh),” officials said in a statement.
“On July 27, the President will grace and address the University of Kashmir’s 19th Annual Convocation in Srinagar.”
