Jammu and Kashmir police claimed on Tuesday that they had confiscated over 25 lakh Hawala money from two people near the Line of Control in Poonch district.
According to the Kashmir-based news agency Kashmir News Observer, police apprehended two people near the LoC in Poonch’s Kanga Bhooti area and confiscated roughly Rs. 25, 81,500/- in Hawala money intended for militant financing.
The accused have been apprehended, according to him, and FIR No. 305/2021 has been filed at PS Mendhar under sections 17,18,40 ULAPA /120B IPC.
The official stated that the case was still being investigated.
