In an explosion in Rajouri district on Thursday night, a 4-year-old nephew of a BJP leader was killed, while he and seven other members of his family, including a 7-year-old baby, were injured.
According to Kashmir-based news agency GNS, an explosion occurred at the home of BJP leader Jasbir Singh near Khandli Bridge in the district.
The blast injured eight members of the family, who were taken to the hospital, where Veer Singh(4), Balbir Singh’s son, died from his injuries.
DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range Vivek Gupta and SSP Rajouri Sheema Nabi Qasba arrived on the scene shortly after the explosion. When this story was issued, there was no official word on the nature of the explosion or the number of casualties.
