After a tractor went turtle at Badyara-Ashtangoo village in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Sunday afternoon, two people were killed, one of whom was an eight-year-old girl, and another was injured.
Three people in a tractor were headed towards their orchard when the tractor turned turtle on the bund of a local creek near the village, according to an official with the Kashmir-based news agency Kashmir News Observer.
The injured were sent to the Bandipora district hospital, where two of them, Zubair Farooq (18), son of Farooq Ahmad Dar, and Tabasum Jan (8), daughter of Ghulam Mohammed Ganie, were pronounced dead.
Another injured person has been named as Refaq Rasheed, according to officials.
Meanwhile, a police team arrived on the scene and began investigating the situation.
