Curfew hrs reduced in Jammu

Eleven more students from Leh’s Druk Padma Korpo School have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of positives to 67. Meanwhile, the district Jammu administration today ordered that night curfews be imposed from 10 p.m. instead of 8 p.m., and that only those who have received their first dose of COVID vaccine will be allowed entry into Government offices, shopping malls, restaurants, and puja halls from October 2.
A woman died of COVID-19 in the Jammu region, and 19 people tested positive for the virus.
According to reports, 11 more children at Leh’s Druk Padma Korpo School have tested positive for COVID-19. On September 17, 56 pupils at the school tested positive for the virus, forcing the district to close all schools for 15 days.
Today in Leh, a total of 28 COVID positive cases were reported.
There are currently 134 active positive cases in Ladakh, including 131 in Leh and three in Kargil.
In the meantime, a 65-year-old woman from Badhoon village in Kalakote tehsil of Rajouri district died of COVID-19 at the Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri today. She didn’t have any further illnesses.
With this death, the total number of Corona victims in Jammu has risen to 2170, with 237 in Rajouri.
A paediatrician working at Kishtwar’s District Hospital and her kid both tested positive for Coronavirus. The paediatrician was back from his trip to Kashmir.
Seven of the 19 new COVID positive cases reported in the Jammu region were in Reasi district, and all of them were travellers who tested positive upon arriving at Katra Railway Station.
In Jammu district, five COVID positive cases were reported, four in Doda, two in Rajouri, and one in Samba.
Today, an equal number of people have recovered from the infection.
There are now 1,23,491 Corona instances in the Jammu region. There are 226 current positives among them, 1,21,095 people who have recovered from the virus, and 2170 people who have died as a result of the infection.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Anshul Garg announced today that, because the positivity rate in Jammu district has remained below 0.2 percent and the weekly case load has remained below 250, the night curfew has been changed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. instead of 8 p.m., and the upper limit on gatherings has been raised from 25 to 50.
This was carried out in accordance with government directives.
From October 2 onwards, only those who have taken the first dosage of COVID vaccine will be allowed inside Government offices, shopping malls, restaurants, public transportation, and other public areas in the Jammu region.
