A wildlife department employee’s body was found in a river in Kishtwar district on Tuesday, 70 days after he went missing in a cloudburst.
Police received information that a man’s body was near one kilometre ahead of the Donagrari Anathnalla River, according to official sources.
Bashir Ahmed (45), son of Rustam Ali Tantray of Hounzer Anathnalla Dachhan, was later found who was working as a guard for the wild life department and went missing after the cloud burst at Hounzer Dachhan on July 27 and 28. A police official stated, “Body has been taken to PHC Dachhan for postmortem and other legal requirements.”

Following the cloudburst and ensuing flash floods in the remote village on the 27th and 28th of July, seven people were dead and eight women were missing out of a total of 19 people.
