GDC Kilhotran organised slogan writing competition on Blood Donation

In continuation to a series of events under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav India @ 75(Phase-3) Red Ribbon Club of Government Degree College, Kilhotran in collaboration with J&K AIDS Control Society, H&ME Department, Jammu organized an intra-college slogan writing contest as a part of Blood Donation Awareness Campaign with a aim to
highlight the importance of blood donation which in itself is a sort of serving the nation. The event was held under the patronage of Principal, Dr Javid Iqbal. Students of the college actively participated in the activity and displayed their talents and artistic expressions. The event was judged by Dr Tanveer Hussain, HoD History, Prof Chanchal Singh HoD
Education and Prof Arshad Ayoub.

In the event Ms. Nazish Akhter student of B.A. Sem 3rd secured First position. Mr. Waseem Ahmed student of BA Sem 1st got Second Position, and Third position was shared by Ms. Salma Zarger & Mr. Harvinder Singh both student of BA Sem 5th. The winners will be rewarded with a cash prize of Rs. 1000, Rs. 750 and Rs. 500 respectively. The event was organized by Prof. Arshad Ayoub, Nodal Officer, Red Ribbon Club and co-ordinate by the
members of Red Ribbon Club, Prof. Mohd Saleem and Prof Yasar Arfat Beigh.

Speaking on the occasion Principal of the College, Dr Javid Iqbal appreciated the efforts of all the participants and highlighted the role of youth in ensuring a safe blood supply. He emphasized on the importance of voluntary blood donation to ensure that everyone who needs safe blood has access to it. He also congratulated the Red Ribbon Club for successfully organizing the event. Besides he also thanked J&K AIDS Control Society for collaborating
the event.
